Homeowner's & Renter's Insurance
Whether you own or plan on purchasing a home or condo, we, at Showery Insurance Agency have an insurance plan to protect you, your home, and your belongings.

There are two different ways to insure your personal possessions:
  • -Replacement Cost Coverage: This Coverage pays you the dollar amount needed to replace personal property without any deduction for depreciation, but is limited to a maximum dollar amount.

  • -Actual Cash Value: This coverage pays you an amount equal to the replacement value of damaged property minus depreciation. Unless a Homeowners' Policy specifies that property is covered for its replacement value, the coverage is for actual cash value.

National Flood Insurance Program: The NFIP offers a separate plan for flood coverage.

Losses due to excessive flooding are NOT covered under most Homeowners' policies.

You can, however, protect your home and its contents through the NFIP. Flood insurance is available on almost any enclosed building and its contents. http://www.fema.gov/nfip/

Mobile Home Insurance: We insure all kinds of mobile homes, from single-sectional, both old and new, in parks and on private property. Whether you live in your mobile home year-round or just part of the year, we have a policy that's just right for you.

Renter's Insurance- As a renter, you are still at risk of losing your possessions to fire, theft, storms, water damage and other perils.

Remember, your landlord's or apartment owner's insurance policy will not protect you or your posessions. Only you can protect your financial well-being and your lifestyle by purchasing the appropriate type of insurance.

Renter's insurance policies are designed to protect your prized possessions, protect you against any personal liability, and provide assistance should your rented home or apartment become damaged or unlivable.

Our policies include the following protections:

Coverage of your personal property, up to the limits you choose to purchase.
Coverage on a named-perils basis for most types of personal contents including artwork, jewelry, watches, and certain kinds of business property.
Coverage for loss of use (reimbursing you for expenses for loss of use of your home caused by named perils).
Coverage of medical expenses if someone is injured on your property.
Coverage of liability exposures (protecting you against certain risks for bodily injury or property damage).
Coverage for damages resulting from freezing of plumbing, vandalism and other causes.
